Fish Hoek 12 Month Postcard Project

The seaside village of Fish Hoek, False Bay, is following in the footsteps of neighbouring Muizenberg by hosting a community postcard project. This one will run for a YEAR.

Did you know that the businesses in the area of the junction of Main and Kommetjie Roads Fish Hoek are located on what was the farmyard of Fish Hoek Farm which existed from 1818 til 1918 until sold off as plots? And that in earlier times the farm was sub-divided into "The Great Whalery", "The Harring Fishery" and "Kleintuin"?

With high incidences of shark sightings in False Bay the past week or so we decided to repost the shark warning flag system information so that you’ll know what to do when you see a red, white or black shark spotter flag fluttering at one of the beaches around Cape Town
