Excitement is mounting among football fans around the world in the lead-up to the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final Draw which is set to take place in Cape Town on Friday 4 December 2009 at 19h00 local time.
The following day, 5 December 2009, the third phase of ticket sales will kick off and it is anticipated that there will be a global rush on these by fans who have been waiting to see where and when their teams will play.
Around one million tickets for all 64 matches and categories will become available in the third sales phase – including a limited number for the opening match and the final
Third Sales Phase: 5 December 2009 – 22 January 2010 – Random Selection Draw
- All correctly submitted applications received during this stage will be considered for allocation.
- If the number of applications for Match or Team Specific tickets exceeds the number of tickets available, tickets will be allocated by a random selection draw taking place on 1 February 2010.
- Please note: it makes no difference whether you apply early, on 5 December 2009, or late, on 22 January 2010. Each correctly submitted application will have the same opportunity of being successful in the draw
Fourth Sales Phase: 09 February 2010 – 07 April 2010
- Ticket applications submitted during this stage will be processed, subject to availability, on a first come first served basis - in the order of receipt.
- Final / Last Minute Sales Phase: 15 April 2010 – 11 July 2010
- Ticket applications will be processed on a first come first served basis, however Ticket transactions will be conducted immediately at the point of sale

Random Selection Draw Sales Phases (Phase 3)
- All applications received during the Sales Phase have an equal chance of success, regardless of whether they are received by the FWCTC at the beginning or at the end of the Sales Phase.
- If the number of available tickets for a specific match and ticket product or category is greater than the number of applications received for such match and ticket product or category, tickets will be allocated and confirmed for all valid requests.
- If, however, the demand exceeds the number of tickets available for the match and ticket product or category requested, tickets will be allocated to the successful applicants via a random selection draw.
- All applicants will be contacted within approximately 3 days after the random selection draw process has been completed to confirm whether or not they have been successful.
First-Come-First-Served Sales Phases (Phase 4 & Final / Last Minute Phase)
- Ticket applications received during these Sales Phases are processed according to the order in which they are received and subject to availability.
- Customers will be contacted within approximately ten working days after submitting their application to the teller at the FNB branch to confirm whether or not their application has been successful.
