Whale Season 2010 in False Bay

Posted Wed, 28 Apr 2010 (2 years ago)

Whale Season is almost apon us once again. Report whale sightings and help share the magic of the visiting Southern Rights to our coastal waters.

The whale watching season begins in earnest from 1 May 2010 and the public are encouraged to spot whales and report them for recording on the local whale sightings log maintained by A Whale Of A Heritage Route.

The log is maintained on behalf of SA Tourism's whale desk and assists in promoting False Bay as a whale watching destination in both the South African and global contexts.

The first Southern Right Whale reported earns the person a prize at the annual Whale Spotter's Breakfast in December.
