Get into the spirit of spring at the 2010 Outeniqua Country Hop Strawberry Festival happening at Redberry Farm in Geelhoutboom, George on 25 - 26 September.

This fun family festival is a great way to enjoy the wonderful spring sunshine on the Garden Route, while supporting local charities and helping contribute towards the marketing of this important tourist route.

 

 

Some highlights for this year's event are as follows:

  • George All Dog Sports Centre will be showcasing a dog jumping, agility and flyball display.
  • A ‘dog walk’ through the strawberry fields on the Saturday at 08h00
  • Good food, local wines and cheeses, fresh veggies, herbs and arts and crafts
  • Live entertainment at the CASTLE CORNER beer tent
  • The new miniature steam train, the “strawberry express”
  • Pony rides and tractor rides
  • Strawberry picking
  • Strawberry eating competitions
  • Paint ball target shooting
  • The primary school “scarecrow” building challenge
