Happy New Year! We hope you all had a wonderful relaxing summer holiday in the South African sunshine - and many of you are probably still relaxing and adventuring out there.For the rest of us, back at work, we decided to start planning our NEXT SA getaways for the coming year with a list of must-do's for 2012.

• Face your fears and go shark cage diving in Gansbaai (Overberg) - after encountering these incredible creatures of the deep you'll never think of them in the same way again!
• Visit the Owl House in Nieu Bethesda (Graaff-Reinet) for an other-worldly experience in this unique memorial to / home of the (late) eccentric artist Helen Martin.
• Take High Tea at the Mount Nelson Hotel (Cape Town) - delicate finger sandwiches, delectable chocolate cake, lemon meringue and freshly baked scones with clotted cream “melktert”, all served with the signature Mount Nelson Tea blended from six teas.
