Spier Contemporary 2010 Launches on14 March

The Spier Contemporary 2010, South Africa’s largest biennale art competition and exhibition, launches at Cape Town’s City Hall on 14 March, 2010.

This year sees 101 artists exhibiting work in mediums such as:

  •  photography
  • digital design
  • video
  • sound installation
  • performance art

 

The Spier Contemporary 2010 exhibition is curated from a cross-section of artists living in the country. It is an open platform to create and show new work which reflects South Africa now

 

The art is for sale.


A fully-licensed pop-up café and a fine art shop curated by The Fringe Gallery will be open at the City Hall throughout the exhibition. 

 
 
The Spier Contemporary 2010 is presented by the Africa Centre with the generous support of Spier.
