Posted Tue, 24 Jan (4 months ago)

The locals and other interested people got together to show their disapproval of plans for development on the beautiful scenic Chapman's Peak Drive this past weekend.

The protest took place on Sunday, January 22nd 2012. Reports say around 2000 people attended although some sources put the number heigher.

The proposed new development includes the building of a new toll plaza/office block.

Protestors handed over petitions and a list of grievances to the MEC for Transport, Mr Robin Carlisle and to representatives of the concessionaire, Entilini.
