SA Surfer Goes Green

Nice little story came our way this weekend about a local surfer showing his true colours over in Bali...

 
Local 19-year old surfer, Beyrick De Vries, recently made a big statementat the 2011 Oakley Junior World Champs in Bali when he painted the words"I’m going Green" on the bottom of his surfboard.
 
According to Ray De Vries of Ray De Vries Communications, the youngsurfer made this statement in honour of The Annual Climate Change Conference that is being held in his home City of Durban.

 


 
"Beyrick is a leading newcomer to the professional surfing world,having already won several big events in South Africa. He is currentlyplaced 16th at the Junior World Champs in Bali, and is looking to give astrong performance ahead of the quarter final rounds coming up over theweekend."
 
Beyrick is currently on the Bali leg of the ASP Junior World Tour, and isset to make big strides in his young career as a surfer.
