We didn't win. But we're still very proud of our blog, especially considering the winners (well done, Team Getaway!) have 150 bloggers writing for them and we have just one full time blogger!

The event was held at Crystal Towers in Century City and the sponsors provided delicious cinnamon brandy cocktails and yummy snacks. The ceremony was hosted by KFM's celebrity DJ Ryan o Connor.

We were quite shocked at how many no-shows there were - rows of empty seats reserved for people who'd said they were coming, then didn't bother to arrive on the night. Unfortunately this is rather typical of Cape Town as we've experienced before.

The highlight of the evening was definitely relative newcomer to the comedy scene, Mum-Z. He had us all in stitches and I would definitely pay to see him again sometime.

Another high point was when Jonathan Nurse, when handing over the prize to the editor of Hayibo for Best Political Blog, dropped his trousers and posed for photos in his boxers!

Best overall winner was Ranger Diaries.
