Rock Me Amadeus

Local lass Lousie Ashman enthuses about her night with Mozart at The Banyard Theatre in Durbanville last night. The Barnyard’s “BYO picnic – we’ll supply the booze, benches and bands” venues can also be found in Jozi, Pretoria and Durban.

"The entrance to the Barnyard Theatre in Durbanville welcomed its guests last night,  enticing us all with a bustling bar, mingling crowds and an ambience promising a night of fun, magic and serious Rock ‘n Roll!

Guests chatted and admired the stunning décor… whilst others ordered steaming hot pizzas of all kinds and stocked up with refreshments for the show soon to begin.

Welcomed into a gallery of long benches bursting with character spread out across a leveled dining theatre, and punctuated by Rock Me Amadeus animation across the stage and all around in spirit, we settled in for a fantastic show.

Presented by the wonderful Mozart/Comedian, he led us into an evening of famous songs and tunes we all love. The Barnyard came to life with clapping, singing, instrumental music beyond comparison and their traditional feet stamping encore!

Each artist so individually talented stole our attention as we swayed and sang along in awe to all of our favorite classic tracks.

After much excitement, unbelievable Rock ‘n Roll and an all round phenomenal show, the cast gave us one last surprise with not one, but two flaming hot encores and we danced and stamped our feet to cheer our performers on one last time.

It was truly a night that will be remembered in our souls."
