Katinka Van Niekerk, who has been teaching at the Cape Wine Academy since 1997
and training chefs, wine retailers and exporters/importers in wine and food pairing,
has lectured in Germany and presented South African wines in France,
for the Slow Food International organisation.
She knocks the stuffiness out of wine and food pairing
and shows that to enjoy both to maximum effect, you don’t have to necessarily follow
boring old rules to achieve an ideal balance between wine and food.
