We followed the wind to Big Bay, near
Blougbergstrand a week ago, so that our resident
Kite Surfer could play in the sky.
We arrived to find a newly developed beachfront full of vibey, happy people; eating, drinking, walking their dogs, sunning themselves on the lawn and on the beach.
There are many new, stunning beachfront restaurants and of course, kite surfing shops, which the boys disappeared into quicker than I could find a cold beer on a hot day.
| Us girls, though, spotted Moyo and made a beeline for this uber cool restaurant. Moyo (known to most as the tree top restaurant at Spier in Stellenbosch) has taken the beachfront restaurant to a whole new level with wooden surfboards to sit on and cool water to dunk your feet in while you drink cocktails overlooking the bay. |

Face painting is still offered and we couldn’t resist getting ours done. |
| After a very scrumptious lunch (they have an awesome menu, by the way!) we sat outside the Moyo entrance on big comfy sofa beds, drinking strawberry daiquiris, while the boys headed off to the beach, the sea and the sky. |
 |
After our delicious daiquiris, we headed down the promenade where we spotted water based Zorbing. Watching these 2 in their plastic balls in the water trying to push each other over was just hilarious. A definite 'must do' next time we head out that way.

The beach itself was packed full of kite surfers. There were so many beautiful kites flying all across the bay, with Table Mountain in the background. It really was a fun filled day and I would highly recommend a trip to Big Bay if you live or plan to spend any time in Cape Town. |
