New Photographic Art Gallery Opening in Woodstock

Posted Tue, 21 Sep 2010 (20 months ago)

MUSEUM Photographic Art Gallery will officially be opening its doors on 30 September 2010. The gallery will showcase original work by the new breed of local and international art photographers, unearthing imminent investments.

MUSEUM Photographic Art Gallery

To celebrate our grand opening, we'll be hosting a group exhibition entitled THE NEW LANDSCAPE throughout the month of October. Twelve artists will be displaying work that responds to this theme -- in many instances reacting to the classicism associated with the genre. Each photographer in the show has interpreted the idea of THE NEW LANDSCAPE in accordance with their own personal style and artistic viewpoint, resulting in a bold cross-section of new talent on display. More importantly, the title alludes to the prevailing ethos of MUSEUM: an urge to explore the new landscape of art photographers in South Africa.

Artists included in the show:
Dylan Culhane, Natasja Maria Fourie, Robin Sprong, Jared Aufrichtig,
David Malan, Aiden Hadfield, Jozua Malherbe, Padraic O' Meara,
Tarjei Langeland, Kathalijne van Zutphen, Fleur de Jeu

Limited edition prints will be on sale.
Please join us for a drink and a perusal of our new premises on 30 September at 6pm
