Posted Wed, 28 Jul 2010 (22 months ago)

Book lovers of Africa unite in the Mother City this weekend for the 5th annual Cape Town Book Fair.

The annual Cape Town Book Fair is the ideal opportunity to meet your favourite authors, network with publishers, watch chefs give live cooking demos from their latest recipe books or simply to browse and buy the newest books on the market.

This is the 5th Cape Town Book Fair and the theme this year is "Where the story begins...", while a dedicated trade day on 30 July has its own theme "Where books mean business"

This year the event will be opened by soon-to-be retired Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Also in attendance - 15 publishers from around Africa, popular prolific writer Jodi Picoult and Nobel Peace Laureate Wole Soyinka, among many others.

There is as always plenty for the little ones do see, hear and experience so don't leave the kids at home! Kids under 13 get in free!
