Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens took a gold medal for South Africa at the 2009 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS)
Chelsea Flower Show .
Now visitors to Kirstenbosch will be able to see the winning display – Havens of Diversity - right here in Cape Town from 03 – 11 October.
This display won SA our 30th gold medal at Chelsea, while for the designers, David Davidson and Ray Hudson, the award was their 17th medal – and they have been designing the Kirstenbosch entry for 17 years!
They will be recreating the display for local fans to enjoy on the Marquee Lawn, open at the standard Garden hours – a R10 entry fee will be charged in addition to the entry fee for the Garden (R35 for adults, R20 for students, R10 for scholars (between 6 and 17) and free for children under 6)
