This will be Envirochild's 5th annual Hout Bay Green Faire, taking place on Saturday 29 October 2011 at the Hout Bay common.

The Green Faire is a volunteer driven event – providing a showcase of products and services that offer ways of living lightly on the planet.

Eco-friendly, human friendly, animal friendly and planet friendly choices are easier when we know what’s available.

Many companies are offering these choices now and this Faire is a way for us to find out more about them.

At this year's Green Faire you can look out for:

• Renewable energy technologies and services to enable sustainable living,
• Green Products – Over 60 stalls
• A cob, earthbag or rammed earth house in the Eco-house building demonstration
• Innovative green inventions
• Inspiring talks
• Tasty, healthy food stalls and craft stalls
• Organic Coffee and wine
• A Recycled Art Installation
• Stilt walking, poi spinning & hoola hooping
• Children’s entertainers and puppet shows -‘edutainment’
• Live music
• Organic jungle gym and natural entertainment
• Treasure swop shop
• People against Nuclear Power

• 16:00 – 18:00 : Live music – Tip of Africa and other local bands
