Happy Human Rights Day

Posted Fri, 19 Mar 2010 (23 months ago)

It's a long weekend in South Africa. On Monday we get to stay home from work to celebrate Human Rights Day.

Learn more about the history of this day (previously Sharpeville Day) and why we celebrate it on 21 March each year here.

Wishing all South Africans a safe, peaceful Human Rights Day.

This should be celebrated world over. I am passionate with regards to The Human Rights Charter. The Charter itself, must raise its profile and become the driving force for all countries regardless of political stance. Any one who is familiar with the Charter will view it as the backbone to a balanced right for all human beings.
