Guests at 22 Die Laan will find this small green laundry bag in their room with a tag on it reading:
"Hello, my name is “22”! Please put me on your bed only if you want your linen washed. That way you and I will not waste water. Thank you!”
This is accompanied by a handwritten note to longer-staying guests which reads:
"Dear Guest.
In the spirit of eco-responsibility, we’d like to introduce you to our contribution to saving our precious planet and the environment."
So linen in the bag will only be washed if the guest leaves the bag on the bed - no more water or energy wasted!
