The Cape Country Meander, a newly launched route, comprising of eight rural Cape towns, stretches along 100km of the N2 just on the other side of the Sir Lowry’s Hill Pass. The meander begins only an hour from Cape Town and this Easter, and its surrounding holidays, (22 April – 2 May 2011); it promises a variety of day trip activities - from healthy outdoor adventures to fine dining, fun for kids and a taste of this regions rural culture.

On the 23rd of April at 12:00pm and again at 13:30pm, Wildekrans Wine Estate in Botrivier is hosting a family Easter Egg Hunt with treats for all who enter. Kids will be treated to special goodies and adults awarded with wine-related prizes and discounts. Gabriëlskloof will also be offering a special breakfast and an Easter Egg Hunt on Monday, the 25th at 10:00am.

Catch Paul Offerman at the Greyton Lodge Theatre on the 23rd of April at 17:30pm. This award-winning musician will be performing a live repertoire, featuring some of the hits from Richard Clayderman, Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Beatles, Elton John and other classical favourites.

The Greyton Easter Fair will take place on the 23rd of April and will include a colour-in competition for the kids, a water slide, jumping castle, circus acts, workshops and storytelling. Adults can also enjoy an assortment of food and handcraft stalls. Activities are scheduled to kick off at the DRC Hall & Church grounds from 9:00am until 13:00pm.
