Cape Vulture Returning to Skies over Samara

Posted Tue, 20 Apr 2010 (22 months ago)

Sarah Tompkins, the owner of Samara, was delighted to spot this Cape Vulture over Samara on her recent visit

Sarah told Portfolio Travel Blog why this sighting was relevent and exciting...

"The Cape Vulture used to frequent this area in large numbers many years ago but during the farming era, they disappeared. I am thrilled that they are now making a comeback and apparently this is the third one seen in as many weeks! Great news for the ecology as they are very important part of the environment."
