Cape Town's First Private Dinner Club

Posted Mon, 19 Apr 2010 (2 years ago)

Cape Town's first private dinner club is here, and worthy of the name. @ 3 Fig is situated at Lynn Angel’s home in Newlands – a stone’s throw from Kirstenbosch.

Lynn Angel is the multi-talented, accomplished, and formidable owner-manager of the CapeAngel Guesthouse, KitchenAngel cookery school, and KitchenAngel Design Studio.

She has joined forces with private chef Neill Anthony, who recently returned from working at top restaurants in London, and wine enthusiast David Wibberley, the founder of borde(aux)room.

The delectable 4-course dinners happen every week on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. You may book for one, two or for a small group of your friends or colleagues. Feel free to chat with the other diners. In warm weather, dinner will be served on the covered patio outside. In cooler weather, dinner is served in the library. Arrive between 19h15 and 19h45 for a welcome drink and canapés.

Booking ESSENTIAL - 021 683 5318 / 082 440 9397

Fridays or Saturdays are available upon request for group bookings of 12 or more people.

Dining at @ 3 Fig is like going to a dinner party, with a four-course menu, at your most stylish friend’s house, but with much better food, and wines to match. At the heart of Lynn’s home is the open kitchen. And what a kitchen it is! During the evening, most guests wander through to watch Neill work.

The menu changes every week depending on Neill’s selection of the day’s freshest ingredients. On the wine side, you can expect expert pairing from David with each dish.
