The sun is still shining in Cape Town but the summer season officially ended with the last Summer Sunset concert at Kirstenbosch on Easter Sunday.

The duo (
Dominic Peters and David Poole, the 'unass
uming surfer/jazz muso/electronic maniacs') behind the electronica phenomenon that is Goldfish rocked the sell-out crowd at the National Botanical Gardens in a gig especially scheduled to help raise funding for Kirstenbosch to attend the Chelsea Flower Show in London this year.
And what a party it was! I was there along with my family, and a large percentage of Captonians, enjoying the sunset behind Table Mountain and ready to end summer is style with the trendy, talented boys.
Within the first couple of tracks the usual Kirstenbosch rule of no dancing unless you're right up front was abandoned as the crowd could not contain themselves and were on our feet, dancing our hearts out to the funky tunes.
Also there was photographer Andre van Rooyen who captured the wonderful ambiance of the crowd in motion (above) and also managed to zoom in on the boys doing their thing with the stunning photo (below).
