That blog post received a lot of comments from those who cheered the demise of the 'ugly sisters' and those who were sad to see such a well known landmark up for demolition.
Whichever way your feelings towards our own twin towers lean, Capetonians won't want to miss the chance to bid the towers a farewell and now you can do this along with 100s of others by meeting at Rhodes Memorial on 'doomsday' - 22 August 2010 - from 10h00 to watch from the slopes of Table Mountain as the towers are imploded.
