2010 Final Draw Long Street Party

Posted Mon, 30 Nov 2009 (9 months ago)

D-Day – that is, Draw Day – takes place this Friday in Cape Town – the eyes of the world will be on the Mother City of South Africa to find out who will play against who, and where the matches will be, for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

While the rest of the planet will only be able to participate via television, radio and online coverage of the Final Draw, those of us who live in Cape Town will be able to enjoy a full day of revelry in that famous Cape Town party street – Long Street.

The party is FREE to the public.

Long Street will be closed to traffic* between Buitensingel and Wale Streets. There will of course be big screens where the official event at the CTICC will be broadcast, and in addition a live stage show is planned for party-goers to enjoy.

*See all other Final Draw Road Closures here.
