Portfolio’s very own Albatross House in Simon's Town has given us a wonderfully tempting list of things to do in Simon's Town not only this summer, but all year round. If you find yourself in the Cape with an extra day or two, why not experience a few of these yourself?
1. Visit Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. The entrance is a mere 15 Km from Simon’s Town. Spend a full or half a day to enjoy the 8500 plant species (Fynbos) that grow here and nowhere else on earth. There are also various animal, reptile and bird species to be seen and enjoyed. There are several hiking trials - from 30 minutes to a full day. You could even have a picnic on the beach or enjoy a wonderful meal that the famed Two Ocean’s Restaurant.
2. Visit the 4000 African Penguins at their main land colony within walking distance of Albatross House and between Seaforth Beach and Boulders Beach. You could even rent a kayak and visit them from the sea side.
3. Take a boat ride around Simon’s Bay to see the history of Simon's Town and the South African Navy.

4. Spend half a day enjoying the historical mile in Simon’s Town. See the preserved historic buildings; visit the Simon’s Town and Naval museums. Enjoy the waterfront with its interesting coffee bars, restaurants and shops offering local crafts.
